Sierra Vista Vacation Packages

The receptionist was excellent and very helpful. We came for our anniversary from Mexico. Our room was excellent except the balcony had wasps and they were a little bit aggressive. We did let the receptionist know at check out. In their defense the wasps were barely starting to build a nest it seems. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the breakfast situation. Seemed a bit awkward, too rationed and an uncomfortable setup which is not the breakfast workers fault. Overall the staff was wonderful.

We arrived at the Lodge on the Desert and checked in. Reception was not friendly or welcoming, somewhat robotic. We reserved a Standard Casita King, an upgraded room with high ceilings and wooden beams, a fireplace, couch and sitting area, and a nice bathroom with talavera style tiles. That is not what we were given. Room 137 was standard, basic, with very worn carpeting, a small bathroom with a tub/shower combo. It had no sitting area where we could relax together, no sofa, no fireplace. It also did not have working internet. We called the front desk twice, the first time no one answered, the second an individual did come to the room and told us, "it's just slow", no, there was no internet connection. We showered and looked for the provided robes, but there was only one. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the gardens/landscaping were very nice and well maintained. In the morning, we again called reception to find out where the ice machine was, no answer and when my husband went looking for it, he did not find it nor did he find anyone at the desk to ask.

Great place, I was excited to stay here.

Property was very nice! Nice upgrades have been done to the bar area and gold course was in excellent condition.
